British Airways announced that it will operate non-stop flights between Chengdu and London starting from December 22, 2013. British Airways will operate 3 direct flights per week on board a Boeing 777-200. Meanwhile, Sichuan Airlines also plans to operate non-stop flights between Chengdu and Paris with Airbus A330 starting from June 2013. By next year, Chengdu will develop itself into a transfer center as well as a gateway to Europe and the Middle East.
